 5-Minute Sautéed Cabbage Surprise (Quick, Healthy & So Flavorful!)

Simple ingredients, one pan, and just minutes of cooking — this easy cabbage stir-fry turns everyday veggies into something seriously delicious.

🛒 Ingredients

1/4 head green cabbage, thinly sliced

1 small onion, sliced

1–2 tbsp olive oil

1 sweet bell pepper, sliced

1 carrot, julienned or grated

2 green onions, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt & black pepper to taste
Optional (for extra flavor):
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp paprika or chili flakes
A squeeze of lemon juice

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep Everything First

Since this cooks fast, slice all vegetables before heating the pan.
2️⃣ Sauté the Aromatics (1–2 minutes)

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add onion and carrot. Cook for about 1–2 minutes until slightly softened.
Add garlic and stir for 20 seconds.
3️⃣ Add the Cabbage & Peppers (3 minutes)

Add sliced cabbage and sweet pepper.
Stir well and cook for about 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.
The cabbage should soften slightly but still stay a little crisp.
4️⃣ Season & Finish

Season with salt and black pepper.
Add soy sauce or a squeeze of lemon if using.
Stir in green onions at the end for fresh flavor.
5️⃣ Serve Immediately

Best served warm as:
A healthy side dish
A topping for rice
A filling for wraps
Or even with grilled chicken or fish
